Autumn

Fall is my absolute favourite time of year. The beginning of holiday season. I wont lie..I celebrate the consumerism part. I buy the decorations, the presents, the television specials. That is what makes the holiday season exciting for me.
So we have already started with our Christmas specials. Sophia is TERRIFIED of Halloween LOL...so the 31st should be a lot of fun.
We have been making art out of leaves we collect in the CO-OP.  The kids LOVE it. Unfortunately my table ends up p-r-e-t-t-y full of glued on leaves.

What also comes with this season is illness and germs. since Sophia has started preschool twice a week we are sick. Pretty consistently with no real break. Now the baby has croup potentially, and/or a double ear infection. Basically his ears are irritated and hes full of mucous and coughing with a fever. But there is no diagnosis since hes just not sick enough.....

Having the time of my life

Between the late nights, early mornings..and homes that look and smell like college dorm rooms we as moms sometimes get to busy..to overwhelmed..too emotionally drained to appreciate that this time is not coming back.
Recently my grandmother told me that she now realizes that the best time of her life was while raising her four children. No amount of sleeping in, having a perpetually clean house, or money in the bank compared to chasing snotty, poopy toddlers around.
Now having kids isn't for everyone..not desired by everyone, and certainly not the best, or only way to live a fulfilling life. but for me it is.
I have been questioned by older generations as to why I post so many pictures on facebook..why I am always taking pictures that I cant possibly print without breaking the bank. And quite simply put it is enjoying every-single-moment. I don't know about you, but my memory is already becoming mush. I forget some of my children's FIRSTS! the first tooth for Anthony..no idea. Sophia's  first step...total goo. Something about three children in a three year time period......
But if I have a picture it serves as a reminder.
So yes. I will never ever print every picture I take..they are in the THOUSANDS. But computer willing, I will always have a copy.

The revival of the blog

I am reviving my blog.
Its been MONTHS! almost as long since my cameras even been a fixture in this house.
I have done a few shoots casually since..but nothing serious. Then my computer crapped out and my editing abilities went from mediocore to non existant. I just cant. My calibration is off..and until I have an actual monitor, and not a 42 inch television, I can not edit properly.

A lot has happened. I have developed wonderful friendships with neighbours, had a baby, and started babysitting full time.

Elliott Ryan was born September 3rd at home weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. 37 weeks! We welcomed him exactly a week and three years after his big sister Sophia. They shared a due date of September 21st..and their labours were so very similar. One day I will write out Elliott's birth story..one day. As it stands I am taking things one day at a time.

First thing is first..bringing out my camera again. Life was so much more...purposeful when I was teaching myself. My editing is on the back burner..but I can try and perfect my pictures straight from the camera. Which has always been my goal.

On september 10th my big girl turned THREE!!!!!

Pictures from yesterday :) they have grown so much since my last post
